We teach piano, acoustic/electric guitar, voice, ukulele and mandolin. All lessons cost $45.00 per hour.
If you are new to piano, we recommend that, regardless of the type of music that inspires you, you take the basic course first.
You will learn to read music, (essential for all styles of playing), undesrstand fingeringand, as you progress, learn the language of musicwhich is Italian!
If you are new to guitar, we recommend that you take the basic guitar 101 course.
This will teach you the basic chord shapes, strumming and picking techniques and how to read guitar tablature, a system which makes finding individual notes on the instrument easier.
Music lessons in Palm DesertStudents enjoy a $5.00 discount by joining the Fourpack pricing option.
Here's how it works:When first signing up for lessons, students pay for four lessons in advance at a discounted rate of $40.00 per one hour lesson.
At the end of the fourth lesson, the student has the option of terminating the lesson plan with no questions asked or continuing to another fourpack.
We feel that a half hour lesson is not really efficient. Sometimes the changeover between students takes a few minutes; taking an instrument from its case and tuning it also takes lesson time.
After the lesson, explaining remedial practicing reduces the half hour lesson even further.
However, if you have two young children who both want to learn the same instrument, a half hour each may be a great idea. We are always willing to accomodate our clients, so feel free to ask. We can only say no!
If the student provides at least 24 hours notice of inability to attend the scheduled appointment, he or she will not not be charged for the missed lesson.
Rescheduling for later in the same week is always preferable.
We understand that there may be times when 24 hours notice is not possible.If you pick your child up from school and he or she doesn't feel well, we understand.Please let us know as soon as you can.
If a Nannie or babysitter brings your child to class and drops them off, they must be present at the end of the lesson.
If you would prefer to be billed monthly at the end of the first Fourpack, please advise Hafsat.
